A discipleship relationship is important where growth occurs on both sides between the faculty/staff discipling and the student initiating this relationship. Because we believe that discipleship is one of the most important relationships that you will be a part of at HCU, accountability is necessary for both parties in order for this to be a growth experience in our commitment to Jesus and each other. Because Kaleo is a voluntary ministry, these expectations include but are not limited to: You will commit to contacting the faculty/staff/student discipler within 2-3 days of receiving an email of introduction and set up a time to meet and begin this new experience with your assigned discipler. You will commit to making this weekly or bi-weekly meeting a priority on your calendar and keep your discipleship commitments. You will do your best to complete the “homework” that both have decided for each session when needed. If you are unable to meet, you will contact your discipler either by email, text, or phone to tell them know you are unable to attend at least 1 day prior to your scheduled meeting. If you are unable to continue the discipleship experience due to a change in scheduling or academic pressures, you will contact your discipler and Colette (ccross@hbu.edu) to share this news. Please communicate with us so that we can pray for you and stay connected. Kaleo Student Agreement* I agree to the Kaleo Discipleship Expectations.
