HBU President Robert Sloan on Fall 2020

The News Magazine of HCU

While 2020 has held new challenges, it also marks a special time in the life of HBU. We celebrate 60 years of offering “A Higher Education.”

This fall, HBU reached its highest-ever enrollment with about 4,000 students enrolled in more than 100 degree programs. HBU has the highest residential undergraduate enrollment for the second year in a row; the undergraduate class is the most diverse in University history. HBU’s Pampell Online division celebrated its largest enrollment ever for the fourth consecutive year.

It is rewarding as a University to be noticed on both local and national levels while holding faithfully to our mission. The metaphor of HBU exceeding expectations has been played out on the football field as well as we watched the Huskies play impressive games on a national stage against formidable FBS opponents including Big 12 team, Texas Tech University!

We thank every new and returning student for entrusting HBU with their university education. We are grateful to God for a strong start in Fall 2020, and we credit HBU’s dedicated faculty and staff, who have adapted to unexpected changes and innovated continually. We especially thank our alumni and the broader HBU community who have believed in us. We know the best is yet to come!
