
Purpose
Delta Mu Delta is the International Business Honor Society under Kappa Tau Chapter of the Archie W. Dunham College of Business, Houston Christian University. Our purpose is twofold:
1. to promote higher scholarship in education for business, and
2. to recognize and reward scholastic attainment in business subjects.
At HCU, as a chapter, we hope that through Knowledge, Power, and Faith, we can support others through our business journey.
Membership
This membership is offered by invitation only and exclusively for those business students who:
- Have completed at least ½ of the required coursework towards the degree; AND
- Have earned a cumulative grade point average of at least 3.5; AND
- Rank in the top 15% of their college class or graduate degree program during the academic year.
The invitation letter will be sent by a faculty adviser in March every year. Participation with this honor society is a privilege, and they will have the opportunity to be acknowledged for their academic excellence at the College of Business Excellence Night at HCU. Lifetime membership in Delta Mu Delta is $80.00 (which includes all fees, chapter dues, etc.). To be inducted, students must complete and return the Delta Mu Delta Membership Data Profile Form, along with a check made payable to “College of Business”, to Ms. Tina Butler, Administrative Assistant to the Dean of the Archie W. Dunham College of Business. Students are required to attend the Induction Ceremony. The formal induction ceremony will be held during the College of Business Excellence Night, usually on Friday at 6:00 PM in the last week of April or the first week in May.
