Bilingual Education Student Organization (BESO)
BESO is an organization that is affiliated with the Texas Association of Bilingual Education (TABE). If you are bilingual and want to be an educator at any grade level, you should join. If you are an education major and you are thinking about getting your bilingual certification, you should come to one of our meetings and meet some people!
The purpose of this organization shall be to:
- Promote bilingual education
- To enhance the study of the Spanish language and culture as they apply to bilingual education
- To provide the students the means by which they may acquaint themselves with the aforesaid
- Through the participation in activities which normally fall beyond the scope of classroom endeavors
- Promote professional awareness in future bilingual teachers through participation in the Texas Association for Bilingual Education
