Sigma Phi Lambda
Sigma Phi Lambda is a Christian sorority on campus dedicated to glorifying God and making His name great in all things. Our sisterhood is more than a sorority: we are a group of women who desire to grow in our relationship with Christ and support one another in life. Our main purpose is to love and encourage people in our community the way Jesus did. We are a non-Panhellenic sorority, which means:
-We don’t do bids (you pick us we don’t pick you)
-We have our own national board that oversees our organization
Sigma Phi Lambda is a Non-Panhellenic Christian sorority with the purpose of glorifying God and making His name great. We are a group of godly women dedicated to growing closer to Christ as well as to one another and accept women of any religious affiliation (or lack of religious affiliation). There are 4 membership requirements:
1. Have or be actively seeking a church home
2. Be a part of a bible study (on or off campus)
3. Maintain the point requirements (by attending events and meetings)
4. Pay dues *Phi Lamb never wants money to be the only reason you do not join our sisterhood so if money is an issue, please talk to us!*
A big part of our sorority is our philanthropy: World Vision, is a “Christian humanitarian organization dedicated to working with children, families, and their communities worldwide to reach their full potential by tackling the causes of poverty and injustice” (quoted from their website, www.worldvision.org). Every semester we hold an event to help raise awareness and funds to donate to World Vision.
