This course is designed to provide an integrated and in-depth understanding of principles of curriculum and instruction, as well as practical experiences in instructional design for elementary school contexts and learners. Multiple approaches to learning, the roles of teachers in the teaching-learning process, as well as current Texas state curriculum requirements and guidelines are explored. The effective use of media/technology is included. Field-based experience in schools is included.
